Peter has had a love of
photography for as long as he can remember and recalls watching in awe
whenever his Dad was wielding his 35mm Yashica around, and couldn't
wait to get his hands on it. He learnt some photography basics at school
but got more serious when he purchased his first 35mm SLR; a Pentax.
Work wise; after completing his Senior education, Peter worked a variety
of retail jobs before a stint in the Army. He decided to pursue his
passion for photography and filmmaking and went to TAFE to complete
a Certificate in Arts - Film and Television. He then went and completed
a Bachelor of Arts in Screen Production at Queensland College of Art,
studying photography as an elective. After years of studying Peter married
his college sweetheart (Fine Artist - Maree Long) and travelled around
Australia for a year taking hundreds of photographs on a borrowed Canon
SLR. Some of these photos make up part of this collection. He has since
purchased the borrowed camera and continued taking stunning photos of
Australia's landscape.
